Meet the team behind Youth Discovery Ventures
A Manchester University drama graduate, who has a passion for working with young people, Anna brings a wealth of enthusiasm and skills to YDV. As well as being on our management board Anna is in charge of all things artsy! After trying her hand at a bit of everything, including drama facilitation in prisons, radio presenting, working at a museum, acting, singing & playing guitar, creative writing & facepainting, as well as undertaking various leadership and training courses, Anna has landed with a bump at YDV and determined to use a little bit of it all to make YDV something really unique!
Founder of Youth Discovery Ventures, Anne-Marie is the driving force and the brains! Small but mighty, Anne-Marie’s background is in youth work and mentoring. She has worked in education and the voluntary and statutory youth work sectors. Anne-Marie chairs the management board and can often be spotted at Youth Discovery Venture projects running around with a rugby ball or at the very bottom of a pile of deflated teepees with a big cheeky grin!
Rachel is the third cornerstone of what makes YDV management the triangle of strength it is today. Rachel started out working for YDV on a voluntary basis while studying at the University of Manchester so has seen the organisation develop over considerable time. She is now on the management board and responsible for business development. Rachel is the logical realist of the three, helping make YDV dreams achievable and bringing a consistent, reliable energy to the team. Recently Rachel has run her own amazing independant project focusing on volunteering and the use of social media with participants from the UK and Holland.
